But just one.  Ya'll don't need to know about my skank ass.

The rules are:

4. Write the name of the character with its owner.

I don't have 8 people to tag either, and I have no intention of tagging, so I'm just going to openly break rule 3.  Steal this if you're interested though.

Character: Theta Chi (Marin Scether)

1. Marin Scether was born somewhere in the Imperium on a "civilized" world that was starting to shift to a hive world.  Basically, there is a clear division between city and country, and the space between the city is still livable, but the cities are where most people live, and are therefore what the Imperium as an institution cares about.
2. Marin was caught by the Inquisition, led by Liese Morn, under suspicion of heresy.  He was the gardener for a Slaaneshi cult, but was not personally involved in said cult, and he was caught outside the cult building during a raid.
3. After being caught, Marin proceeded to do everything in his power to help the Inquisition catch the rest of the Slaaneshi cult from his prison cell, out of an honest belief that the Inquisition and the Imperium was the best way to help the people he cared about.  When the cult was completely caught, the leader of the cult killed himself rather than be captured, so Marin offered his services to become an actual scapegoat--he took the place of the cult leader and took his punishment (arco flagellation) on himself so that his planet would be spared.
4. Marin has some sort of medical condition that causes him to overreact to just about any medicine being given to him; this made the chemical part of the treatment to become an arco flagellant...fun.
5. Upon arriving back at Terra, Liese's overseers decided that (given Marin's history) he would not be lobotomized as part of his being remade as an arco flagellant and becoming Theta Chi.  The process of making him an arco flagellant damaged his brain so that he can no longer speak.
6. As an arco flagellant, Theta primarily works with Liese as his Inquisitorial handler; he very much appreciates her treating him as a human, a little brother, and as an acolyte instead of a servitor.  His inability to speak and ability perfectly record anything he sees and hears makes him an excellent spy on missions.
7. In at least one case, Theta has taken control of the mission away from his Inquisitorial handler to ensure it gets done.
8. Theta has worked with the Sisters of Battle in the past, with them assuming that he was nothing more than a servitor.  The results were very entertaining and made them realize that he did, in fact, have a mind.

Yes, I do have a story written about Theta.  Yes, I will be posting it.  I just need to publicly establish more of the AU first.
